Gabby's first trip to the markets. She seems so small here and quite worried, but at the time it seemed she was so old. I love the way she fits so comfortably on my lap here.

Gabriellas first year in pictures
Above: Some of my family come to visit for her baby blessing. She is bringing us together again. Natalie is holding Gabby, she is my eldest sister. Paris, her eldest daughter, stands in front. Tony my eldest brother stands on the right. I couldn't have been happier to see them here. Wish it lasted forever!
Well, the first year of my child's life has come and gone. I didn't quite manage to post every week, or even every month as I'd planned in my head. What I did manage to do was...survive. Don't get me wrong, it was the best year of my life, as well as the most sleep deprived, hence the lack of normal functioning.
What I did manage to do was take photos, everyday, for a year. Ahhh, photos, so quick, easy and fun. So, here is a photo journal of Gabriella's first year. Most of them are firsts. Since she tends to do something new everyday, there are quite a few firsts..
Hope you enjoy.

Baby babble
Moments of laughter
Every moment with Gabriella is special and precious. But I find myself in a slight panic every day as I realise that yesterday has gone forever and today is so short. Before I know it she'll be six months old and what I adore about her today may be gone. Mum is always telling me that life is but a moment and before you know it you're old. Which is partly why I feel this urgency to have this blog and record the little moments of sunshine that Gabriella brings to my world every day.
Here's a little clip of one such moment that happened the other day. Gabriella was becoming tired and about to fall asleep but rather then crying a little she morphed into the talkie baby and discovered her tongue. It was so cute and funny and I'm glad I captured it because she hasn't done it since.

Introducing Gabriella Bonnie Hann.
These were some of the best hours of our lives. I will never forget way we felt when our lives changed forever as our real life baby girl entered the world. Complete euphoria! I couldn't sleep as she lay next to me in her see through crib. I wanted to make sure I was awake and it wasn't a dream. She was so beautiful and peaceful as she lay there in all her tiny, perfect glory. What an amazing blessing new life is!

4 months and counting

Welcome to my new blog, where I sometimes indulge in the cathartic venting of ideas, worries, concerns, surprises and joys regarding my very first pregnancy and baby.
So, I hope you enjoy this journey with Josh (husband), the little bean in my belly and myself, (also known as Becca) as we post photos of my ever expanding tummy, including some cool shots of the interior along with the quest to find a house in which to hatch this egg.
Be seeing you,
Becca
